Des Moines “I Have a Dream” was started by Grinnell College in 1990 when IHAD “adopted” the graduating fifth graders at Moulton Elementary School. 81% of the active Dreamers graduated from high school or received a GED. A number of them have taken advantage of the tuition assistance provided by the foundation and completed additional education.
