Dreamers Visit DMU Simulation Lab
Central Iowa Area Health Education Center (CI AHEC) in collaboration with Des Moines University and Broadlawns Medical Center hosted a field trip for 10 King Dreamers on Friday June 26, 2009. The Dreamers had a wonderful experience viewing ‘Stan the Man’ a robotic manequin. They were allowed to practice medical procedures such as listening to his hearbeat, count the blinks of his eyes and asking health related questions much like the DMU medical students.
